New Virtual Assistance Portal Launched For HoCo Residents
The virtual assistance portal created by Howard County offers a variety of disaster and emergency resources.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Residents now can access disaster and emergency resources, such as rent relief, food distribution and other essential services, through Howard County's newly launched virtual assistance portal.
“Throughout this public health emergency, we have identified many critical resources and services to support the fundamental needs in our community,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. “The virtual assistance portal allows residents and businesses to easily search for things like rent relief, food assistance and grant programs. As we move through this crisis, our team will continue to create innovative solutions to support Howard County.”
Jacqueline Scott, director of the department of community resources and services, said officials hope the new portal provides families with a sense of "one less difficult thing to do" in the search for information and services during these challenging times.
