No More Limits Set On Attendance At HCPSS Games, Fine Arts Events

As COVID-19 case numbers continue to decline, the Howard County Public School System has lifted its restriction on attendance at events.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As COVID-19 case counts continue to decline in Howard County and across Maryland, effective Monday, Feb. 7, there will no longer be a limit set on the number of spectators at sports games and fine arts performances. Neither the county nor the state currently has COVID-related limitations applying to their indoor facilities.

"While transmission rates in athletics and fine arts have been very low as of late, it is important that all participants and spectators continue to follow mitigation efforts still in place, including universal indoor masking for all spectators," the district noted.
