A Howard County officer on patrol saved a substitute teacher’s life this week, police said.
Cpl. Terrence Benn was out on a traffic stop when a 911 call came in that a man collapsed in a Reservoir High School classroom, according to a report from the Howard County Police Department.
Benn used an automated external defibrillator (AED) to revive the victim, who turned out to be a substitute teacher, police said. The teacher was taken to a local hospital, where he is still being treated, according to police.
