Online Dating App Ambush Under Investigation: Columbia Crime
Pizza delivery driver robbed on Thunder Hill Road, vehicle airbags stolen overnight and other crimes were reported in Columbia.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia.
Authorities are searching for two suspects in a street robbery connected to use of an online dating app. A man who arranged to meet someone through an online dating app arrived at 11 p.m. Thursday in the 6600 block of Quiet Hours for a meeting. When he arrived at the meeting location, two men assaulted him and stole his phone. The suspects were described as a heavyset black man wearing a black hoodie and camouflage pants and another black man wearing a dark-colored shirt and pants.
After a pizza delivery driver was robbed Thursday night, an 18-year-old Columbia man from Lightfoot Path was charged with robbery, assault and theft. Just before 6 p.m., the victim was outside delivering food in the 5800 block of Thunder Hill Road when the suspect threatened him with a handgun, assaulted him, stole the food and ran away. Police said the 18-year-old suspect was located nearby and arrested.

Airbags were stolen from three vehicles in the 9500 and 9600 block of Quarry Bridge Court overnight between Thursday and Friday. The windows were broken to get into the vehicles.
A Suzuki GSX-R MC was stolen from the 5600 block of Vantage Point Road, reported at 1:23 p.m. Thursday.
