Pedestrian Assaulted, Elevator Business Burgled: Columbia Crime
A street robbery and three burglaries were reported in Columbia in the past two days, Howard County police said.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A pedestrian was robbed in the 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. He had been walking when a male suspect came up to him, assaulted him and stole his phone. The suspect left, and the victim was not seriously injured.
Sunglasses, watches and televisions were stolen from a residence in the 6300 block of Gray Sea Way. The residence was unlocked at the time of the burglary, which happened overnight between Tuesday, Nov. 8, and Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Leather jackets, toys and a television were stolen from an apartment in the 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road. The burglary occurred between Wednesday, Nov. 2, and Tuesday, Nov. 8. Police said there were no signs of forced entry, and it was not clear how the burglar(s) got inside.
Tools and a television were stolen from Delaware Elevator in the 9500 block of Gerwig Lane. The burglar(s) pried open the door to the business. The crime was reported at 7:19 a.m on Monday, Nov. 7.
