Police Chase Snarled Traffic On I-95, Route 100 In HoCo: Report
Three people were reportedly taken into custody after a police chase in Howard County Thursday morning that caused closures around I-95.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Traffic was snarled on highways around Howard County Thursday morning due to a police chase, according to multiple reports. The chase reportedly occurred around 6 a.m., and drivers were still feeling the impact on the roads hours later.
At approximately 6 a.m., officials closed the ramp from Interstate 95 north to MD 100 west so Howard County police could search for three people who led police on a chase, then got out and ran away from their vehicle, according to WUSA 9.
A Maryland State Police helicopter was called in to help with the search for the suspects, WUSA reported.

By 6:50 a.m., the news station reported all three suspects had been taken into custody.

Two hours later — at 8:50 a.m. — the ramp from I-95 north to Route 100 west had reopened, according to WBAL.
However, delays remained in the area.
Backups continued on I-95 north in the area of Route 100 to the exit for MD 32.
