3 Teens Arrested After Police Chase In Howard County: Report
The suspects in a violent crime in Baltimore City were reportedly discovered by police in Ellicott City, where a chase ensued.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Three teens suspected in an armed robbery in Baltimore City were arrested Thursday morning after a reported police chase in Howard County. As a result of the police activity, traffic was affected on Interstate 95 in the area of MD 100 during the morning rush hour.
Originally, officers were called to the 800 block of Stamford Road in southwest Baltimore at about 5 a.m. on Thursday. A 50-year-old man reported he had been robbed at gunpoint, according to TJ Smith, chief of media relations for the Baltimore Police Department.
Once authorities in Baltimore released the suspect information to other law enforcement agencies, all three of the 17-year-olds were taken into custody, Smith said.

Officials saw a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle on US 40 at Normandy Woods Drive in Ellicott City around 5:40 a.m. on Thursday and tried to conduct a traffic stop, The Baltimore Sun reported.
When the suspect vehicle took off, a chase ensued, according to WBAL, which reported the three teens crashed on the ramp from Route 100 to I-95 and then ran away.

The location where they were taken into custody was a little more than 12 miles from the site of the robbery in southwest Baltimore City.
Traffic was affected in the area of I-95 and Route 100, where the ramp to the interstate was reportedly closed until approximately 8:50 a.m. on Thursday.
The teens had been in a Ford F150 reported stolen in Baltimore City on Monday, Aug. 6, according to Smith, who said more information about the suspects would be released once they had been charged.
"Now we will see what else they are linked to," Smith told Fox 45. Given the stolen vehicle they were in and their connection to the armed robbery in Baltimore, he added: "It's probably not their first time doing something against the law."
