Traffic Advisory For Columbia Issued Friday
Howard County police advise drivers to avoid downtown Columbia and US 29 Friday night.

COLUMBIA, MD — Police have advised drivers that there will be delays around Merriweather Post Pavilion Friday night in Columbia. Specifically, motorists should avoid US 29 and downtown Columbia if possible Friday evening due to a concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion, officials said.
Tickets are sold out to a show featuring pop duo The Chainsmokers along with Kiiara and Lost Frequencies with Emily Warren.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 26.

Traffic is already expected to be heavy across the region due to the holiday weekend.
