Power Outage Reportedly Fixed in Long Reach Area

One school and a government agency in Columbia lost power Wednesday, officials said.

COLUMBIA, MD — A power outage struck parts of Columbia Wednesday, including at least one school.

Long Reach High School reported after noon that it had lost power, which was anticipated to come back on by 2 p.m. School officials said that lunch would still be served. By 1 p.m., the power had reportedly returned.

The MVA in the 6400 block of Dobbin Road in Columbia was also reportedly without power.
