Rescuers Recover Body Of Man Reported Missing In Patuxent River
Numerous emergency responders have recovered the body of a man who was last seen in the Patuxent River in the Howard Duckett watershed.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A man in the Patuxent River reportedly went underwater and didn't resurface late Tuesday morning. Numerous emergency responders were on the scene in the Howard Duckett watershed area at the end of Batson Road off Rt. 198 between the Tridelphia Reservoir and Rocky Gorge Reservoir searching for the missing swimmer. That search came to an end at approximately 2:15 p.m. when they recovered a body.
Howard County Fire and EMS, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, Maryland DNR and state police crews are engaged in the rescue. The call for help came in at approximately 11:20 a.m. The search team has been using boats with sonar, scanners and dive teams to find the man. A state police helicopter is surveying the scene from above .
