Retirement Offers Opportunity for Purpose-Driven Life

Full engagement, authentic social connections, interesting people, vitality, meaning

During a recent Lunch & Learn at Vantage House in Downtown Columbia, attendees were encouraged to consider how they spend their time. Retirement, according to Marketing Director Andrew Morgan, is not simply a time of “leisure activities” but an opportunity for a more “purpose-driven life.” The preferred senior lifestyle, he maintains includes full engagement, authentic social connections, interesting people, vitality, meaning and purpose.

Vantage House is a full service life plan community for people 60 and older, with long-term health services available exclusively for its residents should they need them. It celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2015 and is noted for its arts, cultural and educational activities, as well as for resident engagement with the larger community of Columbia.
