Robbery, Home Invasion, Assault Linked To Group Of Teens: Howard County Police

A group of teens has been linked to a robbery, home invasion and assault, while a teen was connected to a burglary at a business, police say

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A group of teenage boys has been linked to a street robbery incident and a home invasion/assault that happened March 29, police say.

The incidents happened starting around 1 p.m. The street robbery happened in the 5400 block of Eliots Oak Road and the home invasion/assault in the 5500 block of Mystic Court. No injuries were reported, according to the Howard County Police, and the victims and suspects knew each other, police said.

A 17-year-old boy from Columbia also has been arrested in connection to a burglary at the Merriweather Lakehouse March 30. Police were called to the property located in the 10200 block of Wincopin Circle. A police report stated that suspects entered a vacant room by breaking a lock. Nothing was reported stolen but the teen has been charged with burglary and destruction of property.

The Yogi Divine Society of Maryland, located in the 3500 block of Centennial Lane in Ellicott City, reported a break-in April 1 around 11:10 a.m. It is unclear if anything was stolen, according to the police department.

A store employee at High's, located in the 3000 block of Rogers Avenue in Ellicott City, reported two men with their faces partially covered walking into the store, pulling out a gun and stealing cigarettes and lighters around 3:30 a.m. No one was injured, according to police.
