Shirley Matlock Named Regional Vice President of the Council of Residential Specialists

[COLUMBIA MD July 22, 2013] – The Council of Residential Specialists has announced that Shirley Matlock, CRS, has been appointed as a Regional Vice President. Matlock will be responsible for Region 10 which includes 4 Chapters in the State of Texas.

As one of only 17 Regional Vice Presidents throughout the country, Matlock will serve as a liaison between the CRS chapters and the national Council, and will aid in the development of the chapters. In addition, Matlock will work with state REALTOR® associations to increase the awareness of the CRS Designation, the highest designation awarded to REALTORS® who specialize in selling residential properties.

As a Regional Vice President, Matlock will help expand the Council’s influence at the local level and will help professional members in the region expand their skills and improve client service. The Council offers members advanced professional training, nationwide referral opportunities, sales and marketing support, and one-stop shopping with the latest market-tested products at a discounted rate.

Matlock has been an active member of the Council since 1997. Besides being a Regional Vice President, she has been appointed as 1 of 15 Realtors to attend the Council’s Leadership Academy, and is a Real Estate Agent for RE/MAX Advantage Realty in Columbia MD. She is also a member of the Howard County Association of REALTORS®.

The Council of Residential Specialists is a not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® comprised of more than 33,000 members.
