Shooting Under Investigation: Columbia Crime Blotter
Police said a shooting, six vehicle break-ins and one stolen car were reported in Columbia in recent days.

COLUMBIA, MD - The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents.
A man was found shot in the 5300 block of Brook Way at 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by ambulance for treatment of a gunshot wound not believed to be life-threatening. Authorities were investigating whether the shooting was drug related.
Five vehicles were broken into in at the Broken Land Parkway Park & Ride in the 9600 block of Broken Land Parkway and 8700 block of Snowden River Parkway. Cash was stolen from one vehicle, and it was not clear whether anything else had been taken. The break-ins occurred between 9 and 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 6900 block of Knighthood Lane. The theft occurred at 7:57 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 20.
A Honda Accord was stolen from the 9700 block of Early Spring Way, reported at 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The stolen vehicle had Maryland registration "8CS0339."
