Slumped At Wheel On Route 29, Driver Now Faces 11 Charges

Police said drugs and a loaded weapon were found in a vehicle stopped in the middle of US 29 this week in Columbia.

COLUMBIA, MD — A Baltimore County man was charged this week after police found him slumped over the wheel off US 29. Drugs were found inside the vehicle, Howard County police said.

Victor Uriah Boston, 21, of the unit block of Lutherville-Timonium, faces 11 charges.

Authorities said they were called at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 12, for a report of a vehicle stopped in one of the lanes on US 20 at Rivers Edge Road with a person slumped over the wheel.

A loaded rifle was in the passenger seat, according to police, who conducted a search of the vehicle.

As a result of the search, police said Boston was charged with the following:

  • Illegal possession of ammunition
  • Drug trafficking with a firearm
  • Drug distribution with a firearm
  • Illegal possession of a firearm
  • Having a handgun in the vehicle
  • Two counts of possession other than marijuana
  • Two counts of drug possession with intent to distribute
  • Possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana
  • Resisting/interfering with arrest

Boston was being held without bail at the Howard County Detention Center. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Howard County District Court on April 12.
