Columbia had more snow than much of Howard County, preliminary reports show.

How much snow did Columbia get on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015?
Howard County’s big winner was Elkridge, measuring in at 2.8 inches.
But Columbia was not far behind, with 2.6 inches.

These measurements from the National Weather Service are unofficial reports:
- 2.6 inches in north Columbia at 4 p.m.
- 2.8 inches in Elkridge at 4 p.m.
- 2.7 inches in Simpsonville at 3:45 p.m.
- 2.5 inches in north Savage at 4 p.m..
- 2 inches in Ellicott City at 4:30 p.m.
- 2 inches in Highland at 4 p.m.
- 2 inches in southwest Savage at 3:40 p.m.
- 1.5 inches in Ellicott City at 2 p.m.
