Snow/Rain Mix Timeline: Maryland Weather

Snow is moving toward the region and we've got the latest timeline and what impacts you can expect in the Maryland forecast.

Forecasters expect little accumulation in the region — possibly none in areas around Fredericksburg.

The region will start seeing rain midday Saturday, mixing with snow in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

The mix will turn to all snow after 2 a.m., with lows around 33 degrees, limiting accumulation.

New snow accumulation of less than a half-inch possible overnight, according to the weather service.

We'll see snow Sunday until 2 p.m., then there will be a chance of rain as temperatures reach 40 degrees. Again, less than a half-inch of accumulation.

There's a chance of rain showers as the sun sets Sunday night, then a chance of snow showers until early Monday.

The biggest threat in this storm may be slick conditions Monday morning. Temperatures will be at or just below freezing as commuters begin hitting the roads.
