Special Operations Called After Tractor-Trailer Overturns on US 1: Officials
Howard County police said US 1 has reopened at MD 175 following cleanup from flipped tractor-trailer.

After a tractor-trailer flipped onto its side Monday morning on MD 175 at US 1, several agencies responded to assist with cleanup, including special operations personnel, and lane closures were in effect for several hours.
The tractor-trailer that crashed was carrying flooring, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, which reported after 8 a.m. that fuel was being pumped off from a leaking saddle tank.
In addition to Howard County special operations personnel, authorities from Maryland Department of the Environment were at the scene.

State transportation officials said the crash occurred after 7 a.m.; and northbound through lanes of US 1 were closed at MD 175 as of 8:15 a.m.
By 11:30 a.m., the Howard County Police Department reported US 1 had reopened at MD 175.
