Stormwater Management Project Cascades in Columbia
Howard County plans to improve existing stormwater management area with cascading pools, among other measures.

Howard County officials expect a project to manage stormwater management near River Hill will get underway on Monday.
The $212,000 project involves clearing sediment in an existing storm water management area on Towering Oak Path. In addition, the effort includes stabilizing a channel that has been eroding, using a system of cascading pools.
Howard County anticipates the work will start on Monday, Sept. 29, and be finished by mid November. It will not impact parking or traffic, officials said.
