Teen Assaulted on Snowden River Parkway: Police

Three burglaries, two vehicle thefts and one assault were reported in the past few days in Columbia, according to police.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia.

A teen was hospitalized after being assaulted at 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 16. The boy was leaving a fast food restaurant in the 8200 block of Snowden River Parkway when a stranger attacked him. The victim went to the hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Electronics and jewelry were stolen from a residence in the 9700 block of Polished Stone between 10:30 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 16. There weren't any signs of forced entry, and officials said it was not clear how the burglar got inside.

Food was left in a vacant residence in the 8800 block of Rollright Court, where the stove had been turned on at 5:07 p.m. on Nov. 16. Nothing was reported stolen, and there were no signs of forced entry.

Offenbachers was burglarized in the 6400 block of Dobbin Road, reported at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 16. The front window was broken to the store, where police said it was unclear whether anything had been stolen.

A white 2014 Mitsubishi was reported stolen from the 8800 block of Columbia 100 Parkway at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 16.

A gold 1999 Toyota Corolla was reported stolen from the 9100 block of Canterbury Riding at 5:29 a.m. on Nov. 15.
