Teen Held At Gunpoint Over Shoes: Howard County Police Blotter
Police say the teen was selling shoes through an online posting and when he met the buyer, the suspect robbed him.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following is a roundup of police activity for the past week in Howard County.
Home invasion robbery
Columbia, 21046: 7500 block of Monarch Mills Way, Dec. 9 11:21 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that a male suspect entered his residence and displayed a handgun. The suspect assaulted the victim, stole the victim’s car keys and then stole cash out of the victim’s car before fleeing. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Commercial burglary
Columbia, 21045: Howard Pharmacy, 8900 block of Columbia 100 Parkway, Dec. 10 3:24 a.m.
Unknown suspect(s) entered the pharmacy by breaking the front glass door and stole prescription medication and other items.

Robbery
Columbia, 21046: 9000 block of Snowden Square Drive, Dec. 8 2 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that he was sitting in his parked vehicle when he was approached by a male suspect who displayed the handgun. The suspect demanded cash and the victim complied. The suspect then fled in a vehicle with another male suspect. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Elkridge, 21075: Five Below, 8200 block of Gateway Overlook Drive, Dec. 8 3:40 p.m.
A store employee reported that upon confronting two suspects who were attempting to steal merchandise, the suspects pepper sprayed the employee and fled with the merchandise. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
Columbia, 21045: Verizon, 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way, Dec. 8 4:40 p.m.
A store employee reported that two male suspects with their faces partially covered entered the store and one suspect displayed a handgun. The suspects then stole merchandise and cash before fleeing. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Laurel, 20723: Horsham Drive & Chippenham Drive, Dec. 9 2:02 a.m.
A teenage male victim reported he met with an acquaintance to sell a pair of shoes. The acquaintance entered the victim’s vehicle and displayed a handgun and demanded the shoes. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Columbia, 21044: 10400 block of Swift Stream Place, Dec. 2-7
Unknown suspect(s) entered a residential storage unit by prying open the door and stole two bicycles.

ARREST: Robbery updates
Police have made arrest in two recent commercial robberies. On Nov. 25, two employees at Walmart in the 6400 block of Dobbin Road in Columbia reported that a male suspect with his face partially covered was attempting to steal a television. When the employees confronted the suspect, he pepper sprayed them before fleeing with the television. No serious injuries were reported. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him. Bradley Ryan Sanford, 26, of Briggs Chaney Road in Silver Spring, is charged with armed robbery, assault, and theft.
On Dec. 1, an employee at the Shell gas station in the 10700 block of Birmingham Way in Woodstock reported that a male suspect with his face partially covered entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The employee complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him. Grayson Carl Schroyer III, 35, of Forest Hill Avenue in Baltimore, is charged with armed robbery, assault, theft, and weapon violations.
