Teens Steal Alcohol, Cut Bystander In Columbia: Police

Preston Robinson, 16, has been charged as an adult with assault and theft, police said. A 16-year-old Jessup boy was also charged.

COLUMBIA, MD — Two teenagers were arrested after Howard County Police say they entered a liquor store and stole alcohol Friday night, then slashed a bystander with a knife when the victim tried to intervene. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Oakland Mills Road about 2 p.m.

A police report said Preston Robinson, 16, of Columbia, has been charged as an adult with assault and theft, and a boy, 16, of Jessup, was charged as a juvenile with theft.

The victim, an adult male, was treated for minor injuries at the scene, authorities said.
