Tires, Rims, Vehicles, Catalytic Converters Stolen: Columbia Crime
East Columbia Library burglarized, vehicle stolen using garage door opener, clubhouse break-in and more crimes were reported to HCPD.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A Toyota was stolen from a garage in the 5100 block of Phantom Court and found nearby against a tree. The suspect(s) used the garage door opener from a Hyundai parked outside the residence to get into the garage, and the spare key found in the Hyundai to steal the Toyota. The theft was reported at 3:17 a.m. on March 9.
Copper fittings were stolen from the East Columbia branch of the Howard County Library in the 6600 block of Cradlerock Way sometime between March 8 and 9. The suspect(s) may have gotten in through unlocked windows.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with burglary related to a break-in at The Gramercy at Town Center Apartments in the 10600 block of Gramercy Place. The burglary happened at 5:56 a.m. on March 8. The suspect broke a window to get into the apartment clubhouse.
A vacant building was burglarized in the 10500 block of Marble Faun Lane, reported at 4:07 p.m. on March 7. A rear door was forced open, and it was not clear whether anything had been taken.

An iPhone and cash were stolen from the 5900 block of Stevens Forest Road between March 6 and 7. A window may have been unlocked.
A bike was stolen from a garage in the 6400 block of Grateful Heart Gate at 10:05 p.m. on March 3.
Thefts From Vehicles
Catalytic converters were stolen from several vehicles:
- Four vehicles at Park & Ride, Snowden River Parkway, reported at 6:46 p.m. on March 8.
- One vehicle in the 7600 block of Weather Worn Way, reported at 5:22 p.m. on March 8.
Tires and rims were stolen from three vehicles:
- 9100 block of Gracious End Court at 11:04 a.m. on March 5.
- 5400 block of Cedar Lane at 9:21 a.m. on March 5.
- 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road at 8:09 a.m. on March 5.
Tires were stolen off a vehicle in the 5000 block of Columbia Road, reported at 10:42 a.m. on March 4.
Vehicle Thefts
A 2017 silver Chevy Impala was stolen from the 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way, reported at 11:14 a.m. on March 11. It had a Maryland tag 8AY7639.
A 2012 gray GMC was stolen from the 5300 block of Columbia Road, reported at 2:56 a.m. on March 8.
A 2005 GMC Yukon was stolen from the Park and Ride in the 9600 block of Broken Land Parkway at 5:56 p.m. on March 6. The vehicle had a Maryland tag of 71295.
A 2011 gray Subaru Outback was stolen from the 9600 block of Clocktower Lane at 1:54 p.m. on March 4.
A 2012 black Honda Accord from the 6100 block of Turnabout Lane, reported at 7:44 a.m. on March 4. The vehicle had a Maryland tag 1CJ4867.
A 2012 red Hyundai Sonata was stolen from the 9100 block of Bronze Bell Circle between March 2 and 3. The vehicle had Maryland tag 4BD4664.
