Town Center Burglaries, Hickory Ridge Egg Throwing: Columbia Crime
Police said 11 airbags and four vehicles were also stolen in the past three days in Columbia.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent crimes in Columbia.
Airbags were stolen from 11 vehicles overnight between Dec. 11 and 12 in the Long Reach area. The suspect(s) broke windows to get to the airbags, and nothing else was taken from the vehicles. The thefts occurred on Hayshed Lane, Cloudleap Court, Tamar Drive, Greystone Lane and Cobblefield Drive.
Five businesses were pried in the 5500 block of Sterrett Place in Town Center, but the suspect(s) did not get inside. Although one suite was broken into using force, nothing was reported stolen. The incident was reported at 8:19 a.m. on Dec. 10.

Three juveniles were charged with destruction of property related to egg-throwing in Hickory Ridge. Police were called to Cedar Lane at Corina Court after 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 10 related to a report of youths throwing eggs at passing vehicles and found three boys who were charged and released to the custody of their parents. Police said that the suspects were all 17 years old. Two of the boys were from Clarksville and one was from Columbia. All were charged with destruction of property.
Power tools were stolen from a shed at Avalon at Fairway Hills in the 5400 block of Columbia Road. The burglary in Dorsey's Search was reported at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Dec. 9.

Vehicle Thefts
A 2009 black Honda Civic was stolen from the 6000 block of Majors Lane. The theft was reported at 8:21 a.m. on Dec. 12. The car has registration MD 5AW9189.
A 2001 silver Toyota Solara was stolen from the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road. The theft was reported at 6:21 a.m. on Dec. 12. The car had registration MD 1CN8728.
A white Lexus with Maryland registration 4XA2099 was reported stolen from the 6100 block of Quiet Times at 9:13 p.m. on Dec. 11.
A 2005 silver Honda Civic with Maryland registration 8ADX98 was reported from the 10700 block of Green Mountain Circle at 9:13 p.m. on Dec. 11.
