Two Restaurants, Three Salons Join Columbia's Metropolitan Development
Howard Hughes announces first tenants of promenade near Metropolitan building.
Restaurants and beauty salons are among the first announced tenants moving in to the space next to The Metropolitan residential complex in Columbia.
Corner Bakery Café and MOD Pizza will open along the nearly 1-acre park next to the residential community. Corner Bakery serves fresh soups, salads, breads, pastas and breakfast items. MOD is a franchise that cooks up artisan pizzas in less than three minutes.
Joining the dining options will be a handful of grooming services.

“Hipster salon” Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, European Wax Center and Village Nails Bar are coming to the promenade, according to Howard Hughes.
“The Metropolitan is fast becoming a highly desirable, amenity-packed place to live,” Howard Hughes Vice President of Development Greg Fitchitt said. “Adding this mix of restaurants and services along with an inspired neighborhood park, will make this an even more popular location for both residents and visitors.”

The promenade includes a playground, art sculptures and outdoor seating in addition to shops.
