Uncle Julio's Opening In Columbia This Spring

The new restaurant will bring made-from-scratch Mexican dishes to Columbia.

COLUMBIA, MD – A new Mexican restaurant is opening in Columbia this spring. Uncle Julio's will bring made-from-scratch dishes and handcrafted cocktails to diners. It will also offer engaging experiences like guacamole whipped up table-side, an open kitchen where guests can see their food being cooked and a chocolate piñata filled with fruit and churros on the menu for dessert.

Uncle Julio's has more than 30 locations around the country, with restaurants in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Others in Maryland are in Gaithersburg and Bethesda Row.

Serving up Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites, Uncle Julio's offers an array of appetizers, salads, children's items, entrees, combination platters and party trays. It specializes in mesquite-grilled dishes and has an extensive beverage list, including a swirled drink that blends a frozen margarita with frozen sangria.

A firm opening date has not been announced. In the meantime, the restaurant is hiring. The brand-new space where it will be located, near Sears, has been under construction for months.

Uncle Julio’s Mexican from Scratch plans to open this spring at 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 2530, at The Mall in Columbia.
