HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The annual Countywide Unheard Perspectives Showcase will be held Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hammond Middle School, 8100 Aladdin Drive, Laurel.

The event is the culmination of weeks of research by third, fourth and fifth grade students about innovators whose voices have been underrepresented in American history. This year’s showcase will feature exhibits from the top three student teams from 17 elementary schools within the Howard County Public School System.

Local leaders and community members will judge the exhibits based on information and relationship to theme, contextualization (timeline), clarity of presentation, responsiveness to questions, as well as a short biography and bibliography.
