Vantage House Elects Two to Corporate Board
New members include Pinato, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, and Romano, Dean of Nursing
Vantage House has added two new members, Karia Pinato and Dr. Carol A. Romano, to its Corporate Board of Directors.
Pinato, a realtor for over 20 years, heads the Creig Northrop Team of Long and Foster Real Estate, Inc.’s Senior Living Division. A Seniors Real Estate Specialist, she teaches educational seminars to help seniors in the process of selling their homes. She has served as President of the Howard County Million Dollar Club, among other civic and professional activities.
Romano is Professor and Dean of the Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. She retired as Rear Admiral of the United State Public Health Services, where she served in a variety of leadership positions in the Office of the Surgeon General, including Chief Nurse Officer.

Vantage House was founded in 1990 and is a nonprofit serving people 60 and older. Managed by Life Care Services, the community includes a variety of living arrangements from studio to three-bedroom. It provides long-term health services available exclusively for residents should they need them. Vantage House is noted for its arts, cultural and educational activities, as well as for resident engagement with the larger community of Columbia.
