Vantage Point Raises $7,475 in Alzheimer's Walk

Downtown Columbia retirement community participates for 10th consecutive year

Residences at Vantage Point, a continuing care retirement community in Downtown Columbia, raised $7,475 during its 10th annual participation in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Vantage Point team was made up of residents, employees, friends and family members who joined with other community members to raise funds to further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

This year’s Vantage Point team registered 98 members, 70 of whom participated in the 2.5 mile walk at Centennial Park. “We’ve accepted donations, held two successful car washes and employees participated in “Casual for a Cause” Friday’s, where they could “dress down” for a donation to the Walk” says Vivian Smith, Vantage Point team organizer and Fitness Coordinator.
