Volunteers Needed To Serve On HCPSS Policy Advisory Committees, Apply By Jan. 3

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Volunteers are needed by the Howard County Public School System to help develop and revise school system policies as members of policy advisory committees. The knowledge, experience and perspective shared by community stakeholders are used to improve the quality of HCPSS policy.

Currently, applicants are needed for the Policy 5200 Student Transportation Committee.

The committee will include at least one member representing the general resident stakeholder group. Members of the committee will attend three to four virtual meetings to discuss and make policy recommendations. Meetings will be held virtually between Jan. 16–Feb. 29. Tentative committee meeting dates will be made available when possible.

Committee members are expected to participate in all committee meetings. Residents interested in participating may submit a statement of interest online by Jan. 3. A confirmation email with additional details will be sent to the individual(s) selected to participate.
