Volunteers Needed To Serve On Policy Advisory Committees With HCPSS

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Volunteers are being sought to serve on several policy advisory committees with the Howard County Public School System.

HCPSS currently seeks candidates for membership on the following policy advisory committees for the 2023-2024 school year:

• Policy 1080 Educational Equity
• Policy 2080 Academic Calendar Advisory Committee (new)
• Policy 3050 Records Management
• Policy 4000 Grants
• Policy 4200 Meal Charges
• Policy 9290 Gangs, Gang Activity and Similar Destructive or Delinquent Group Behavior

The committees will include at least one member representing the general resident stakeholder group. Members of these committees will attend three to four virtual meetings to discuss and make policy recommendations.

Residents interested in participating may submit a statement of interest online by May 24.
