Water Main Breaks Near Columbia Crossing: HoCo Utilities

COLUMBIA, MD — A water main broke in the Columbia Crossing area Tuesday morning and repairs were expected to last through the day, Howard County government officials reported.

Before 11:30 a.m., county officials said that utilities crews were at the scene.

The repairs were anticipated to take six to eight hours; therefore, people should expect personnel to be working on the issue through the evening rush hour (until 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) to make the fix.

County officials advised the public to avoid the area.
