Weather Alert from Howard County Public Schools: Saturday Activities Canceled
Schools, libraries and parks were affected by Saturday's weather; closings and delays in Howard County are listed.
Because of inclement weather, the Howard County Public School System canceled school-sponsored activities— including high school athletic practices and games — on Saturday, Dec. 17. Community-sponsored events on school property were canceled as well.
The Howard County Library System opened at noon on Saturday, Dec. 17.
The following Maryland State Parks were closed on Saturday, Dec. 17:

Howard County had been under a winter weather advisory from midnight to noon Saturday for sleet and freezing rain. Roads and walkways may be icy and slippery.
