Express Your Opinion About HCPSS Instructional Materials
For the 1st time, you can view instructional materials for the Howard County Public School System and submit opinions about the curriculum.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — For the first time, instructional materials for the Howard County Public School System will be available for viewing by the general public. Anyone who disagrees or supports the material can submit opinions using an online form.
The materials can be viewed in the lobby of the department of education at 10910 Clarksville Pike in Ellicott City. The materials will be accessible weekdays from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. from Dec. 17 through Jan. 12, excluding Dec. 24, Dec. 27 and Dec. 30-31.
The materials also will be displayed at the Howard County Central Library at 10375 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, the Howard County Library Miller Branch at 9421 Frederick Road in Ellicott City, and the Howard County Library Savage Branch at 9525 Durness Lane in Laurel. The materials will be viewable during normal library hours.

Online preview versions also are available for several of the instructional materials. Some proposed materials are not available for review in hard copy, but may be reviewed online. Additionally, the materials on display will represent a sample of those under consideration for each subject or grade level.
