National Weather Service projects a hot Friday with poor air quality in Columbia.

Temperatures will climb above the 90-degree mark in Columbia on Friday, according to the National Weather Service, which reports it will feel like 96 at the hottest point in the day.

There is also an air quality alert for the area.
