WIlde Lake Middle Students Honored at Future City Competition

Sixth, seventh and eighth graders from WLMS were recognized for building models of cities for the future.

From Wilde Lake MS: Two teams from Wilde Lake MS competed at the Mid-Atlantic Region Future City competition this past Saturday. Future City is a competition where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades imagine, research, design, to solve real problems facing cities and build cities of the future. Both teams received recognition for their work.

  • MMAAGAPOLIS - was voted as the best overall team by their peers and won the Student's Choice Award
  • Palmarius - was chosen by the NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) for having the Best Land Surveying Practices.

The students involved in the competition are Marvin Chen, Alex Chen, Maya Classon, Harry Cohen,Aminah Coleman, Gabriela Hernandez, Joshua Molinari, Alex Nguyen, Lexi Nguyen and Alex Wood.
