Wine In The Woods 2018: Event Preview, Details
This year's Wine in the Woods is planned for this weekend. Here's what you need to know.

COLUMBIA, MD — If you like wine, food, live music and the woods (let's be honest, we all do), then the 2018 Wine in the Woods event, run by Howard County Recreation and Parks, might be perfect for you this weekend. Running on Saturday and Sunday, the rain or shine event is sure to bring a crowd.
Tons of local food vendors, like Big Fat Daddy's, Salerno's and Timi’s Greek & Middle Eastern, and 30 wineries are participating in the event. Wineries include Bordeleau, Great Frogs, Knob Hall and many more.
A flood watch issued by the National Weather Service is in effect until Friday night, and the rain is expected to continue for much of the weekend.

However, event officials told Patch that Wine in the Woods will not be cancelled or postponed due to weather unless the weather is particularly dangerous, like flooding or lightning storms, during the event.

Since its inception in 1997, when they had about 7,500 wine lovers come each day, the numbers have skyrocketed to about 25,000.
Wine in the Woods will run Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Advanced-purchase tickets cost $32 for Saturday and $27 for Sunday. Those who buy their tickets at the event will pay $12 more and not be able to go in early (at 10:30 a.m.) to settle into a great spot.

Live entertainment includes Pitches be Crazy, Deb Callahan Band and Secret Society.
The event will also feature tons of local artisans and crafters, like jewelers, Bonsai trees, home decor, photography, forged iron ware and much more.
