Woman Grabbed On Lake Elkhorn Path: Police
Police said a jogger was inappropriately touched while jogging in Columbia Thursday morning.

COLUMBIA, MD — A Columbia man has been charged with a sex offense after police said he touched a woman jogging around Lake Elkhorn. Nobody was injured in the incident, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Ananias Escolon Melara, 26, of the 5700 block of Margrave Mews in Columbia, has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense.
Police said the charges came after a woman reported a man had grabbed and touched her inappropriately while she was jogging on the Lake Elkhorn path at 9:53 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26. She yelled, and he ran away, authorities said.
