Head-On Crash In Clarksville Claims Woman's Life: HCPD
A woman was killed in a head-on crash Thursday afternoon in Clarksville, police say.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Nov. 21 in Clarksville.
The incident happened Thursday around 2:53 p.m. in the 13100 block of Triadelphia Mill Road. According to Howard County Police, a 2016 Toyota Corolla was heading eastbound when for reasons being investigated, it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a 2017 Toyota 4Runner head-on. The driver and only person in the Corolla, Coralia Roxana Yamileth Anaya Rivas, 34, of Jessup, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and only person in the 4Runner, also a woman who has not yet been identified, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries.
A portion of Triadelphia Mill Road was shut down for approximately 2.5 hours.
