Yoga Center Burglarized, Dead-End Armed Robbery: Columbia Crime
A holdup on Tamar Drive, four tires stolen from a vehicle parked on Swift Stream Place and other crimes were reported in Columbia recently.

COLUMBIA, MD — Recent crime reports in Columbia include an armed robbery, yoga studio burglary and four tires stolen from a parked car, among others. The following information was provided by the Howard County Police Department.
A man was robbed at gunpoint on the dead end of Tamar Drive by two men. While one showed that he had a handgun, the other stole the victim's cell phone, keys, backpack and wallet. Nobody was injured. The robbery was reported at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29. One suspect was described as a black man with a goatee and large build who was wearing a black skull cap and hoodie.
The Yoga Center of Columbia was burglarized. Nothing was reported stolen but the glass door was broken at the business in the 8900 block of Old Annapolis Road. The break-in was reported at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29.

An unlocked apartment was burglarized in the 10700 block of Hickory Ridge Road. Electronics and games were stolen in the burglary, which occurred at 3:34 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31.
There was a theft from a vehicle in the 8300 block of Guilford Road at 7:39 pm. on Sunday, Dec. 30.

Four tires were stolen from a vehicle in the 10300 block of Swift Stream Place at 11:31 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30.
A home was burglarized in the 7500 block of Weatherworn Way after the rear slider was forced. There was nothing reported stolen in the burglary, which occurred between Thursday, Dec. 27, and Friday, Dec. 28.
A 1998 black Toyota Camry was stolen from the 5700 block of Stevens Forest Road at 2:58 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30.
