$10K Lottery Win Leaves Crofton Woman Breathless

A Crofton woman scared her daughter when she called her to say she couldn't breathe. The reason? A $10K Lottery win.

CROFTON, MD — Michelle Kirby of Crofton gave her daughter a scare when she called her up while in the car and said she couldn’t breathe. It turns out Michelle had just scratched off a $10,000 top-prize winning 10x Cash instant ticket, says a Maryland Lottery news release.

The mother of three and grandmother of four found her winning scratch-off at Quick Save Mart, 524 Defense Highway in Annapolis. She stopped to buy a drink and cash in a $10 winning scratch-off.

“I told the clerk that I couldn’t decide which ticket to get with my $10 prize, so he suggested the 10x Cash scratch-off,” Michelle said in a Lottery news release. “I took the ticket with me to scratch and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it was a $10,000 winner. I thought I was seeing things.”
