AA County Schools Change Tuesday Schedule

Anne Arundel County Public Schools are altering afternoon and evening plans March 3. Redistricting meetings are canceled this week.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools has cancelled all afternoon and evening activities for Tuesday, March 3.

And the meetings on redistricting options the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will consider for some Annapolis-area schools scheduled for March 3 and the public hearing scheduled for March 5 have both been postponed.

A new date for the informational meeting, postponed four times by inclement weather, has not yet been determined. A new hearing date will be determined once a date for the informational meeting is set.

Due to the forecast for potentially icy conditions later this afternoon and this evening, all school-sponsored after-school activities scheduled for today, including evening middle school and evening high school classes, are canceled.

Magnet program students who would normally have extended day instruction will now be dismissed at the same time as all other students at their school, and magnet students who ride buses should ride their regular bus home. The high school PVA program will operate on a Friday schedule.

For the status of activities sponsored by agencies other than Anne Arundel County Public Schools, including after-school day care, please check with that agency.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from noon until 10 p.m. Tuesday for Anne Arundel, Carroll, Harford, Howard, and Prince George’s counties, as well as most of Baltimore and Montgomery counties and surrounding areas.

The Weather Service predicts up to half an inch of snow and sleet in the region, with less than one-tenth of an inch of ice.
