Anne Arundel Schools: Plan on Classes Friday

You better have your homework done, because Anne Arundel County Public Schools plan to be back in session on Friday, Feb. 27.

Schools were canceled Thursday as snow fell across the region.

Here are Anne Arundel County snow totals from the National Weather Service:

• Davidsonville: 3.8 inches
• Annapolis: 3.0 inches
• Severna Park: 2.9 inches
• BWI Airport: 1.5 inches

Here’s the note from the school system on Friday’s schedule:

“AACPS custodial and maintenance crews have spent the entire day working to clear school lots and sidewalks. At this time, parents and employees should plan for an on-time opening of all schools and offices tomorrow. If schools and offices open on time as planned, there will be no additional message sent tomorrow morning. If inclement weather forces a change in the operation of schools and offices, parents and employees will receive another message.”
