Arundel High School’s Color Guard members have been practicing extensively over the past few weeks in preparation for their 2016 indoor competition series. The Color Guard competes in the Scholastic Intermediate division of the Tournament Indoor Association (TIA), which is the indoor portion of Tournament of Bands (TOB).

Arundel’s Color Guard is under the direction of Melissa Reagan. This year marks Ms. Reagan’s eighth year as Color Guard Director, and overall 18th year of coaching at Arundel. Assisting Ms. Reagan are Mitch Meussner who returns for his sixth year and Jamie Gilmore who returns for her fifth year. All three are Arundel Alumni and began their Color Guard careers at Arundel.

The team is composed of 19 performers ranging from 8th-11th grade. The captains are Genevieve Ryder and Gabby Burger. The team will compete in six regular season competitions and Chapter Championships. The season will end with a 4-day non-stop competition event in Wildwood, NJ: All-Chapter Championships (ACC’s).

Arundel’s show is titled “80’s Mix Tape” and will include clips of “Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles, “Two of Hearts” by Stacey Q, “Venus” by Bananarama, and “99 Red Baloons” by Nena.

APR 28 – MAY 1 – All-Chapter Championships: Wildwood, NJ
