Croftonite’s Band to Debut Album at Ottobar

Pianos Become the Teeth band member and Crofton native Kyle Durfey prepares for a CD release concert on Jan. 6.

Crofton’s Kyle Durfey is part of a band called Pianos Become the Teeth. The group is slated to perform Jan. 6 at the Ottobar in Baltimore, located at 2549 Howard St. According to the band's website, doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

According to the ticket website, the group plans to open with the following songs:

The Baltimore Sun reported that Durfey’s father and Crofton upbringing inspired some of the group’s music, especially the song “The Lack Long After." According to the Sun, the song is about the death of Durfey's dad, who died of pneumonia in April 2010.
