Our Dharma center holds a variety of spiritual practices, ranging from meditation to philosophical study and sadhana practices. Rooted in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the Gampopa Center draws on the teachings and practices of countless realized figures across many different lineages and schools of thought. When it comes to Dharma studies and activities, we consider ourselves as nonsectarian followers of the Buddha, whereby we invite Dharma teachers from all major traditions of Buddhism, to teach Dharma in ways that preserve those different traditions. However, when we are doing more serious and specific Dharma practices, we follow the Kadam masters and the Kagyu lineage of Vajrayana. Marc Douglas Berardo and Walt Wilkins bring an evening of acclaimed Americana, folk, and singer-songwriter music to the stage.
Walt Wilkins is a Texas songwriter, singer, producer, and troubadour whose songs have been recorded by artists including Pat Green, Kenny Rogers, Ricky Skaggs, Eric Church, Balsam Range, and Kellie Pickler. Wilkins has released nine solo records, four albums with The Mighty Mystiqueros, and has had more than 100 songs recorded by other artists. His work blends Texas country, folk, acoustic rock, and roots music, with an emphasis on storytelling and songwriting.
Marc Douglas Berardo is a Rhode Island-based singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been performing since the 1980s. His music draws from folk, Americana, country, and acoustic rock, combining character-driven songwriting with humor and storytelling. Berardo has shared stages with artists including Jimmy LaFave, Kevin Welch, John Hiatt, Catie Curtis, Martin Sexton, Livingston Taylor, Ruthie Foster, Red Molly, and Will Kimbrough, and has appeared at songwriter festivals including Telluride, Kerrville, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest, and the Tucson Folk Festival.
The two artists have also collaborated professionally. Wilkins and Ron Flynt produced Berardo’s album The Beauty of This Now, recorded in Austin, Texas. Wilkins also contributes harmony vocals to the album. The record features musicians including Glenn Fukunaga, Bart de Win, Ron Flynt, Chris Beall, Geoff Queen, and Scrappy Jud Newcomb.

Trifecta Food Truck &amp; Music Festival, Baltimore County’s ultimate end-of-summer party, returns to the Maryland State Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 26, bringing together great live music, incredible food, family-friendly activities and thousands of festival-goers for a full day of fun.
Since its debut in 2016, Trifecta has become a Baltimore-area tradition and the go-to destination for music lovers, foodies and families looking to celebrate the end of summer. At a time when many local festivals have been canceled, scaled back or disappeared altogether, Trifecta continues to go strong — thanks in large part to the overwhelming support it has received from the Baltimore-area community.
That support has allowed Trifecta to remain committed to what it has always been about: bringing people together for an affordable day of great music, great food and fun for the entire family.
And at a time when ticket prices for live events have skyrocketed, Trifecta continues to offer an extremely fair and affordable ticket price for everything included — 10 bands, two main stages, 30+ food trucks, family activities and an entire day of entertainment.
This year’s festival will feature 10 amazing tribute and cover bands performing across two main stages headlined by Several Species: The PINK FLOYD Experience, who's celebrating 30 years as a band. To commemorate this impressive milestone, we will be featuring a Laser Light Show &amp; Quadraphonic Surround Sound for the first time ever at a festival! What's a festival without food? Trifecta gathers&nbsp; 30+ of the area’s favorite food trucks like Jimmy's Famous Seafood, Wanna Pizza This, Greek on The Street, and&nbsp;Cousins Maine Lobsters&nbsp;offering everything from classic festival favorites to unique local specialties.
There’s plenty for the entire family, including a mechanical bull, rock climbing wall, bounce houses and more.
Many longtime Trifecta attendees say the festival has the feel of “the old Preakness days” — a place where friends can bring their pop-up tents, settle in for the day and enjoy great music and good food while hanging out with friends.
With music running throughout the day and activities for all ages, Trifecta is more than a festival — it’s a Baltimore County end-of-summer tradition that has continued to thrive because the community continues to support it.
