VIDEO: Route 424 Rush Hour Crash
A multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon near Crofton Elementary School sent two men to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Emergency crews from Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties were called to a crash Tuesday afternoon on Maryland Route 424, also known as Davidsonville Road.

Anne Arundel County fire chief Michael Cox said the call came in at about 3:30 p.m. for a crash near Duke of Kent Drive. Cox said two men were injured and transported to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

A 44-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and a 22-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Cox said.
Maryland State Police helicopters airlifted both men to the hospital.

On the ground, Anne Arundel County police officers detoured traffic around the crash scene as crews worked to clean the area.
