Tina Frost, Arundel High Grad Shot In Las Vegas, Flown To Johns Hopkins Hospital
A 2008 graduate of Arundel High School, Tina Frost was shot in the Las Vegas massacre. She's now recovering at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

CROFTON, MD — Tina Frost, the Arundel High School graduate and Crofton native who was critically wounded and was in a coma after being shot at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on Sunday to continue her recovery, reports say.
Frost, 27, is a 2008 graduate of Arundel High School. She was shot in the right eye, which doctors removed in surgery. A GoFundMe page was set up by the family to "cover all expenses related to this tragic event such as traveling, food, hotels, missed work, and caring for Tina," the page says. Frost had traveled to the country music festival with her boyfriend from San Diego, where she works for an accounting firm.
She took her first steps on Friday, her family said in an update posted to the GoFundMe page, has breathed for several hours at a time on her own, and is interacting with visitors.

Frost was admitted to Johns Hopkins Sunday evening, according to The Capital Gazette.
“There could be some impairment in the future, but once she starts breathing better, I think she’s going to be able to talk,” Las Vegas neurosurgeon Dr. Keith Blum told The Capital Gazette. “If we kept her in Vegas for four or five more days, she might have been able to walk out of the hospital.”

"Today has also been a big day for our TT - she is now waking up! She opens her left eye just a lil and looks all around the room at us, taps her feet whenever music is playing, continues to squeeze our hands, and even gives Austin a thumbs up when asked," her mother, Mary Watson Moreland, wrote on Friday. "She sometimes taps to music and also took her first steps today with the assistance of the nurses - 3 steps to the chair and 3 steps back to the bed."
The Hideaway restaurant in Odenton hosted a fundraiser for the family on Thursday. Another fundraiser for the Frost family was held Saturday at Molloy's Irish Pub in Gambrills.
To date, $556,067 has been donated on the GoFundMe site to help Frost with medical expenses.
