• County Whole Blood Program Kicks Off (carolinereview.com) — Caroline County’s EMS headquarters in Denton has begun carrying whole blood, letting specially trained paramedics transfuse critically ill or injured patients before reaching a distant hospital. Officials say this rare capability, backed by local foundations and regional partners, could significantly improve survival in a county without an emergency room. Leaders also celebrated Emergency Services Appreciation Week and honored long-serving staff.
