Dundalk resident Steve Carder recently received The Arc Baltimore’s Volunteer Service Award for his commitment to the organization’s mission. Steve, who is a professional
clown, comes to The Arc’s center in Dundalk every Friday to teach an enthusiastic group of adults how to be clowns. He teaches them magic tricks and the use of props with the goal of forming an actual troop of clowns who will perform at senior centers and nursing homes. Steve hopes they may eventually have a troop that will be recognized as members of Clowns of America.
